Woodland Officer Joins the Team12/04/2024

Henry Barnard has joined Joe Court Forestry Ltd as a Woodland Officer.  Henry will be working closely with Joe, managing a wide portfolio of woodlands. Writing woodland management plans, applying for grants and overseeing forestry operations, we asked him to introduce himself:

Hi. I thought it would be nice to introduce myself as the latest recruit to the Joe Court Forestry team. My name is Henry, and I may not be what you would think of as your typical forester. I have spent the past nine years as a ranger working for the National Trust. Before that I have worked as a local authority ranger, a gardener and a farmer amongst other things.

I am a passionate ecologist and conservation professional and am hugely excited to have been asked by Joe and Pippa to join the team. It’s not every day you find a modern, professional forestry firm who is so keen to incorporate conservation into everything they do. From investing in the most efficient machinery, to constantly reviewing and modifying our working practices, we do everything we can to put the conservation benefits of our work at the front of what we do.

If you need forestry or conservation advice for you woodland, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we would be more than happy to help.
